Dusk brings softness—a moment caught in fading color. I painted this piece while sitting beside Ben during a quiet afternoon. He had a special appreciation for the manzanita that grow along the trail on Bodega Ridge, their gnarled forms silhouetted against the sky. This painting holds that memory.
