Therah’s garden valley, bordered by some of the oldest forest on the island, is a home to many. In this painting I’m celebrating the beauty of the wild grasses, ox-eye daisies and mullen that freely roam among our gardens, staking their place just as joyfully as our gardeners, and offering their beauty freely!
This is the second painting in the “Market Musicians” collection, the first being “Sunflowers at Therah”. I love to paint at the Galiano Island Saturday Market and like to pick a scene that is familiar to me so I can let my paintbrush move freely to the rhythms of the musicians that perform so generously for us each week.
