Inspired by moonlit nights at Dionisio Point Provincial Park and the Garry oak trees whose branches dance with wild joy.
Garry oaks are special to me. My favourite is the one that lives on Dionisio Island to the right as you begin your walk along the top of the island. I have heard it said that “you have to learn to see” and I believe that to be true. This Garry oak taught me to see the world through his eyes, rhythms of wildness and joy that know no boundary, flowing through from one branch to another, uniting us with their song. I have revisited this tree under a night sky.
