Description
The Peace Park is our favourite island destination, partly because the hike begins just outside our front door. There is something wonderful about not having to drive to get to your hike. Several beautiful arbutus trees frame the view of Trincomali Channel from the clearing at the summit of the hike. We sit for awhile, enjoy the view together and the peace comes in the breezes that circle through the sky, dance with the trees and brush the cobwebs from my thoughts.
A TAPOVAN is a wilderness or forest of spiritual practice (from the Sanskrit; Wikipedia). The Galiano Tapovan is dedicated to Sri Chinmoy, an advocate of world peace and a proponent of enlightenment through music and athleticism. The Tapovan is a creation of the Gratitude Foundation.
