Description
There is something almost impossible about this arbutus at Montague. Leaning far out from the shore, it has come to rest on the sandstone beneath it, as though the rock is holding it while it continues its reach toward the light.In the moonlight, the familiar tree becomes something magical—twisting and reaching beneath a luminous island sky, shaped by years of wind, weather and persistence.
