Spring Oaks at Porlier Pass, Card

Inspired by Dionisio Point Provincial Park and the gentle spring rains on Galiano Island, this painting explores the island’s relationship with water.  Raindrop shapes form the atmosphere, Douglas firs and sandstone while the curl of a wave in the underpainting pulls the Garry oaks into the cycle.  The viewer is invited to walk down the path on the far left and step into this whimsical piece, filled with the joy of spring time!
